Chaplain's Bio

Justin Le was ordained a priest by the Most Reverend Patrick J. McGrath, J.C.D., Bishop of San Jose, on May 23, 2009.

Born August 7, 1972, in Tân Ðịnh, Saigon, Vietnam, Father Justin was the youngest of seven children. His parents, John Tam Le and Mary Tran, are now living in Campbell, California. He attended Hai Ba Trung school, and then homeschool in Saigon, Vietnam, before immigrating to the United States with his family in May 1990.

Father Justin holds an Associate in Arts (A.A.) Degree in Business from Evergreen Valley College, a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) Degree in Business Administration from San Jose State University, a Bachelor of Sacred Theology (S.T.B.) Degree from Saint Mary's Seminary in Baltimore, a Master in Arts (M.A.) Degree in Theology and a Master's Degree in Divinity (M.Div.) from Saint Patrick's Seminary and University. He has also undertaken M.B.A. studies at Columbia Southern University.

After he completed his undergraduate degree at San Jose State University in the spring of 1998, Father Justin worked in hi-tech companies as a Financial Analyst. He entered St. Patrick's Seminary in Menlo Park in August 2003 and began his journey of discernment to the priesthood. He did his pastoral year internship at St. Mary parish in Gilroy in 2006 and ministered as a deacon at St. Lawrence parish in Santa Clara this past year prior to priestly ordination. He was ordained a transitional deacon on November 8, 2008 and graduated from Saint Patrick's Seminary in May, 2009.

From July 1st , 2009, Father Justin was appointed a parochial vicar to St. Mary of the Immaculate Conception Parish in Los Gatos.
